Definitions:

Interstate outbound rate = The rate you will be charged when you make a long distance direct call (ex. 1 + area code + number) from your telephone to any state (except to the state from where your call originates. - -ex. if you are in Florida than you may call any state besides Florida at this rate - -) within the USA.
Intrastate outbound rate = The rate you will be charged when you make a long distance direct call (ex. 1 + area code + number) from your telephone to another person within your state. Most calls which are long distance within a state (intralata) will probably be routed through your local telephone company directly. You can avoid this by dialing our access code of 10555 before any instate long distance call.
Interstate Inbound 800 rate = The rate you will be charged if a caller calls your toll free 800 number from any other state than from the one your 800 number is in.
Intrastate Inbound 800 rate = The rate you will be charged if a caller calls your toll free 800 number from within the state that your 800 number is in.

Intralata = A local region within a state which your local telephone company has the right to route all long distance calls. To avoid being charged by your local telephone company, simply dial 10555 before your intrastate long distance calls (many customers like to program 10555 into a speed dial option on their phone). This five digit code is different for all telephone companies, yet one must use the code no matter what long distance company they have in order to avoid being charged by the local telephone company. It is a misconception that customers of one "long distance company" (such as AT&T) do not have to press extra buttons to avoid intralata routing by the local telephone company.
